Reminders:

  • As you know, the way that COVID-19 vaccines are delivered is up to the state. We are trying hard to work with the state for supplies.
  • Vaccine supply is limited and changes week to week. If the website says it's fully booked, keep checking!
  • Unfortunately, we are not able to register you for your shot appointment. You must register on your own (though you may have a caregiver or someone to assist if needed).
  • Getting the vaccine does not take the place of safety precautions. The CDC continues to advise wearing a mask and social distancing to help stop the spread of COVID-19 - even for people who have received the vaccine.
  • Please have patience as we wait for information from the state. The fastest way we can update you about vaccines is through these emails.  Due to the number of calls coming in, there can be long wait times.  Please help us keep the lines open for patient care. We promise that we will send out another email when we get more news. We are as eager as you are to get this process underway!
  • Most people with serious allergies can still safely get the vaccine. If you have concerns about allergies please visit the CDC website:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/allergic-reaction.html
  • We understand you may have trouble deciding to get the vaccine.  Our providers and care teams at Iora highly recommend the available vaccines, by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, for our patients.  We want you to get them as soon as possible. If you need help deciding, we urge you to explore the helpful information from the CDC to help you.
