Georgia COVID-19 Announcements

Iora is following the COVID-19 vaccine plans very closely. Our top goal is to help you get access to a vaccine as soon as possible. These email updates are our main way to get you the most updated information.  We will continue sending email updates when and if things change.

Mar 11, 2021 - Georgia - New Phase Begins 3/15!

On Monday, March 15, Georgia will open up COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to include all Georgians 55 and over Georgians (16 years and older) with the following high-risk health conditions:

  • Asthma (moderate to severe)
  • Cancer
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Cystic fibroses
  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension
  • Heart conditions
  • Immunocompromised state
  • Liver disease
  • Neurological conditions, like dementia, Parkinson's, ALS
  • Overweight and obesity (BMI > 25kg)
  • Pulmonary fibrosis
  • Sickle Cell Disease
  • Thalassemia

According to state officials, those 55 and older who have already registered through the state site will automatically get a notification about their eligibility. For all others, registration through the vaccine site will open Monday at 6 a.m.

Four mass vaccine sites are open across the state in Fulton, Bibb, Dougherty and Habersham counties. Five more will open on March 17: Chatham, Ware, Washington, Bartow, and Muscogee counties. 

Lastly, coming soon a FEMA backed community vaccination center will add more spots to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium vaccubatuib sute in Atlanta.

Feb 25, 2021 - Georgia - New Large Vaccination Sites

Georgia has started some large vaccination sites in Atlanta that are organized by the state. You can pre-register on the website, click here.

Click on the “Yes I’m Eligible'' teal button. This will take you to all available locations that have vaccines. It will ask you to pre-register, and then they will contact you to make your appointment.

Jan 29, 2021 - Georgia - New Text for Registration Information

New appointment notification option for several Georgia counties:

If you live in Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Cobb, Douglas, Gwinnett, Rockdale, or Newton county, you can now send a text to get appointment information. This was created as a way to be notified once an appointment is available to you. This may be easier than checking several websites each day searching for an appointment. 

  • Text VAX to 678-679-0250 
  • You will get a reply text asking you which county and phase you are in. 
  • Enter your county, and Phase 1A (people over 65 are eligible).
